A Few Tips when Booking Head Shots for Actors:

• Keep it simple with natural makeup that isn’t overdone. Solid colors are best and avoid bright white tops. Avoid anything that will distract the focus from you.

• Select outfits that match your type or brand. You want to showcase a range of looks but remember the strongest one is the one that aptly represents you and the typical roles you would be cast in.

• Preparation is key. Plan your outfits well in advance. In the days leading up to your photo shoot, prep your skin and keep it properly hydrated by drinking lots of water and moisturizing.

• Historically Acting Head Shots were printed and submitted in Black & White but times have changed. We offer a Color & BW version of each final image selected so you have both to choose from.

It’s versatile anytime of the day and offers both city vibes with water views and endless diverse backdrops. Team Portraits in Boston's North End

Back in the North End this week to update the Team Photos for Munroe Morrow Wealth Management. We lucked out with another temperate (high 60s!) and beautiful Fall day in Historic Boston for a photo shoot. These new portraits will be used to update their website and for the Annual Company Holiday Card.

Creative Portrait Sessions

These One Hour In Studio Sessions allow for several outfit changes - or “looks” - and are perfect for Professional and Personal use from LinkedIn to Dating Apps - or both.

Creative + Branding Portrait Sessions ~ Melissa at Lynch Park , Beverly MA

I met Melissa many years ago as a volunteer photographer for one of my favorite dog rescues in Boston - Last Hope K9 Rescue. She recently booked a KLP Creative + Branding Session and we shot on location at Lynch Park in Beverly. While we are also shooting Head Shots in the studio as well these days, outdoor Creative Sessions are an ideal option for not only safety but also for clients wanting a natural setting that matches their brand as well. These are an hour long on location and allow for an outfit change. Here’s a few highlights including her resident dog Ruby (the little one) and their current foster Yeti (big white one!) who is available for adoption from LHK9 right now too. I have missed photographing rescue dog during the pandemic so was thrilled to have her boyfriend bring the dogs at the end for her session. Not only did we get some of handsome Yeti to add to his file and hopefully help get him home soon, also lucked out with a beautiful sunset which was the perfect backdrop for a family silhouette. Those ears. Love.

While In Studio Head Shots are popular for individuals looking to update their image and brand, we also shoot regularly On Location for companies updating for their whole team. All KLP Head Shot Sessions include three images of each employee for a variety of looks and a team portrait as well. Gone are the days of dreading your Head Shot Photo Shoot. Our sessions are booked to take the time with each person to assure that each everyone who steps in front of the camera is at ease and loves the final results. Opening Day at Boston Convention + Expo Center's Lawn on D

Despite Mother Nature not cooperating and delivering a rather cool overcast day, Opening Day at Lawn on D showcased the true New England Spirit with families and friends laughing, playing and smiling throughout the afternoon and evening. From two action-packed performances (2pm + 4pm) by Nimble Arts to the ever popular swings and lawn games, this space is truly a gem in the heart of Boston for residents and guests to the city. Cirque du Boston Convention + Exhibition Center

What a spectacular event KLP covered this past February for BCEC to showcase the diversity and capability of their Convention Center space. Over 2,000 in attendance as acrobats flew over head and contortionists wrapped into human pretzels while the band performed and guests enjoyed a variety of food, drinks and an extraordinary finale.
